Andy Giess lived in Shropshire, and Barnstaple for 37 years, before coming to live with family in Guildford nearly five years ago. Formerly a youth officer in Shropshire, Andy was the organiser for Telford’s disability youth provision and  developed strategies to help deliver positive relationship education. Andy is a well-known member of Citizens Advice, Oxfam and was a trustee of Zero Carbon Guildford. He now gives his time to local charities  building on the work achieved so far. Andy is a member of Unite, Amnesty International, XR, People’s Assembly Against Austerity, stand up to racism and campaigns with these groups.
