Guildford votes that Theresa May has lost control

Over the bonfire weekend, the BBC’s Ellie Price came to Guildford to test the attitudes of voters in Conservative-dominated Surrey.

The BBC visited Bushy Hill Junior School, Merrow for their bonfire celebrations on Thursday 2nd November. They asked the parents and locals at the event ‘Is Theresa May in control?’ and the results were broadcast on The Sunday Politics on Sunday. You can see the results here:

Perhaps we shouldn’t be surprised that with cabinet ministers resigning with increasing frequency (just two this week so far!), the shambles that is Brexit now rapidly becoming obvious, and the pointless policy of austerity set for a boost in the budget next week, the view of Bushy Hill parents and residents was clear:  No, Theresa May is NOT in control.

This merely confirms that the government is in meltdown, its leader living on borrowed time and unlikely to last much longer. They cling to power without any idea what they want to do with it. Guildford residents are absolutely correct. Theresa May is not in control. The Government is leaderless and rudderless. We need a new General Election and a new Government now.
